Clinic SEO: the pages that actually ranked
Twelve weeks of Google data from a medical centre site I built, page by page. The price list did more than 40-odd articles, and that changes what a clinic should write first.
I built a website for a private medical centre in the Caribbean. It went live in July 2026 on a brand new web address, with no history and nothing linking to it. Twelve weeks later I pulled every page's numbers out of Google Search Console to see what had actually done the work.
It wasn't what I expected.
Where the visits came from
- HomepageMost of the visits, mainly people searching for the centre by name.
- Price list, CT scansThe biggest page after the homepage, from people pricing a scan.
- Full price listClose behind, for general "how much" searches.
- Urology screening pageSteady, from men looking for prostate checks.
- Price list, ultrasound and proceduresSmaller, the same pattern.
- All the articles togetherAlmost nothing.
Source: Google Search Console, organic results only.
The homepage carries most of it, because that is where searches for the centre's own name land. Take those away and the next biggest thing is the price list. Not the whole list as one page: the list filtered to a single category. "CT scans" on its own showed up in Google well over a thousand times.
The 40-plus health articles, the thing most SEO advice tells you to start with, brought a handful of visits between them. Most sat just off page one.
Why the price list won
The searches that reached the centre were from people who had already decided what they needed and wanted to know where and how much. "How much for a ct scan in [country]" (top 5). "Cost of ct scan in [country]" (top 5). "Ultrasound [city]" (top 10).
A page that answers that has three things on it: the name of the test, the city, and a price. The category views of the price list had all three. The articles had the first two and talked around the third.
What ranked
- "CT scans" with every CT and its price
- Real prices for 400+ services
- The service name people type
What didn't
- An article explaining what a CT scan is
- "Call us for pricing"
- The clinic's own name for the department
What I would build first now
- Price list, split by service typeOne view per type, each with its own address, so "CT scan prices" is a page Google can show.
- One page per service that people price-shopUse your booking data to pick them, not a guess.
- Call and WhatsApp on every pageTaps to call went from 63 in August to 130 in September.
- Articles lastOnly on questions patients actually ask your front desk.
Two caveats. This is one clinic in one market, and Google Ads ran from mid August, so the call totals include ads. The Google search figures above don't: they are organic results only. The full numbers are in the medical centre case study.
If prices can't go on your site, a starting price per service still answers most of the search. If you'd like me to look at which of your services people are already searching for, I do a free audit.
